YourCause Campaign - 2009
______________________________________________________________

Thank you for your interest in joining our 2009 Viral Campaign through YourCause. Our goal is to raise $100,000 by May 31, to support our three programs that provide free services to Dallas County residents. Without these funds, we are facing the liklihood of having to decrease the number of people we provide these valued and much-needed services to. We realize that this is a tough economic climate to ask you, your family, and friends for financial support, but we have an urgent need with a growing number of teenage pregnancies, abusive behavior, and child neglect.

The 10-10-10 Program

We want to encourage each of you to take 10 minutes to create a YourCause page, donate $10, and send out 10 emails to friends and family encouraging them to give. It’s our 10-10-10 program designed to reach 10,000 people who share in our vision to make a difference in the lives of young parents and their children.
 
The process is simple.

Each participant will first go to  http://www.yourcause.com/Charities.aspx?CharityID=1163338 to set up their personal webpage linking to the Child Abuse Prevention Center of DFW following the directions provided to you here. 

    ♦ Click on the button "Start Your Cause Linked to this Charity"
    ♦ You will be asked to establish a account by selecting the button "Free Membership"
    ♦ Fill in the membership form and select the "Submit" button
    ♦ When you click submit, you will land on a page that is linked to our charity titled "Start 
       Your Cause." Select "Next"
    ♦ Here you will be asked to come up with a catchy title, headline, description, and your goal. 
      Click here if you need suggestions.
    ♦ The next page will ask you to "Select Account Type". You can either select the Basic
       package which is free, or the Premium package at $9.95/mo. Select and click "Next"
    ♦ An email will be sent to the email address you used to set up your account. Once you validate
       your account, you will be able to begin sending emails to family and friends within 24 hours.
   ♦ Once your account has been validated you can go to your page and begin updating it with any
      pictures you like, messages to friends, etc...
   ♦ If you've selected the Basic Package, you'll want to email your friends and family from your
      home email account, directing people to visit your page. If you've selected the Premium
      Package, you'll be able to email your friends and family from your YourCause page directly.
