Shaken Baby Prevention Campaign

It is estimated that nearly one in two Americans are unaware that shaking a baby is dangerous and life threatening. Join the CAP Center in its initiative to educate 100,000 people on the dangers of shaking a baby by December 31. Take the pledge to educate those in your life by selecting the "Tell a Friend" feature. View the list of those who have already pledged and read their comments. Share the SBS Prevention Plan with anyone you know who is caring for a child.


Vanden Eykel Receives 2009 Spirit of Compassion Award 

Koons Fuller Managing Partner Ike Vanden Eykel, center, receives the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Center's 2009 Spirit of Compassion Award from Margaret Patterson, Executive Director of the CAP Center, and Center co-founder Randy Michero.

The presentation took place Saturday, April 18 at the Center's 15th annual Celebrity Waiter Gala at the Hotel Palomar in Dallas. The award is given each year to a Dallas-area person who views child abuse prevention as a community responsibility. Ike is a long-time benefactor and a member of the Center's board of directors.

The Child Abuse Prevention Center held its 15th Annual Celebrity Waiter Gala on Saturday, April 18, at the Hotel Palomar Dallas.

The CAP Center would like to thank each sponsor, celebrity waiter, and participant for making this year's event so memorable and meaningful.
